The Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent is pleased to announce that it received a clean audit from the office of the Auditor General of South Africa for the 2018/2019 financial year.
In a recent report to parliament, the AGSA said the organisation’s financial statements “present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent as of 31 March 2019, and its financial performance and cash flows for the year”.
In light of the finding, MISA CEO Ntandazo Vimba expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all staff.
“Your display of team work and team spirit is second to none. It is through your dedication that MISA has achieved this incredible milestone. I would also like to thank the Auditor General’s team for their transparent and fair audit process. I cannot forget to mention the audit committee and the Audit Generals team for guidance and support which led to the improvements that have been achieved since the inception of the organization,” Vimba said.
“I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma and deputy ministers Obed Bapela and Parks Tau for their exceptional leadership and continuous support and guidance.”
However, there is much work to be done to ensure MISA continues to uphold its values of good governance and financial irrefutability.
The organization therefore endeavors to continuously review its internal controls to ensure that it is remains efficient and effective in the execution of its financial responsibilities.
