MINISTER NKADIMENG APPOINTS INTERIM CEO IN MISA
The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), Ms Thembi Nkadimeng, has appointed Ms Mapatane “Pati” Kgomo as the Acting CEO of the Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent (MISA).
The appointment of Ms Kgomo as the acting CEO is meant to bring stability to MISA, whilst also ensuring that work does not stop, but continues as planned.
The acting CEO has been part of MISA at the level Deputy Director General and has extensive knowledge about the work. She was responsible for a branch called Infrastructure Delivery Management Support since January 2020. She amassed extensive experience during her many years in the local government sector. She has also served in the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) for almost 5 years and was exposed to infrastructure planning, financing and implementation in various sectors.
Ms Kgomo is a seasoned administrator with vast experince in good governance, strategic planning and implementation, project and programme management.
The Minister urged the acting CEO to build a strong team that works together to deliver on the mandate. “The work before us requires a full potential of a strong and effective functioning team to be unleashed”, said Minister.
Minister Nkadimeng thanked the former CEO, Mr Vimba for having steered MISA forward and wished him well in all his future endeavours.
The Minister urged all officials at MISA to support and work with the Acting CEO to ensure an effective and efficient functioning MISA.
