The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA), Dr Zweli Mkhize will, on Friday 12 April 2019, hand over the Mbizana Water Reticulation Project to the community of Nkantolo at Mbizana in the Eastern Cape. CoGTA, through its infrastructure implementation agent, the Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent (MISA), constructed the Water Reticulation System which provides access to clean water. The project benefits about two hundred and thirty two (232) households whose residents did not have potable water in Ward 27 at Mbizana local municipality. The installation of the new reservoir will also benefit other villages, which will be reticulated by Municipal Infrastructure Grant projects currently under implementation within the Ward. The intervention has made a difference in the lives of residents who no longer have to travel long distances to obtain water.
